  Іскерлік қарым-қатынас - әлеуметтік қарым-қатынастың ең жиі тараған түрі. Ол жазбаша және ауызша болуы мүмкін.  
Ресми-іскерлік стиль мемлекеттік билік пен халық арасындағы, елдер арасындағы, кәсіпорындар, ұйымдар, мекемелер арасындағы, жеке тұлға мен қоғам арасындағы ресми қарым-қатынас құралы болып табылады.  
   Мұндай мәтіннің негізгі белгісі, тұтастай алғанда, шекті дәлдік болып табылады. Басқаша айтқанда, іскерлік мәтінге мазмұндық толықтық, дәлдік, айқындылық, конструкциялардың үлкендігі тән.        
  Ресми-іскерлік стиль: халықаралық келісімшарттардың, актілердің, заңдардың, үкімдер, жарғылардың, куәліктердің, іскерлік қағаздардың және т.б. құжаттардың стилі. Тіпті конверттер белгілі бір тәртіппен жазылады, бұл пошта қызметкерлері үшін ыңғайлы.                     
   Ресми стильге тілдік тұрғыдан келесідей талаптар қойылады: 
1. түйіндеменің дәлдігі;        
2. айқындық немесе жүйелілік;     
3. логикалылығы;       
4. баяндаудың ықшамдылығы, яғни артық сөздің болмауы.    
   Іскерлік келіссөздерді табысты жүргізе білу, құжат мәтінін сауатты жасай білу, құжаттармен жұмыс істей білу-шешім қабылдайтын адамның кәсіби мәдениетінің маңызды құрамдас бөлігі.   
   Қазіргі ресми-іскерлік стиль-қоғамдық қатынастар саласында қолданылатын әдеби тілдің функционалдық түрі. Ресми-іскерлік стиль әдеби тілдің жазбаша-кітап стиліне жатады. Кітап стильдерінің арасында ресми-іскерлік стиль салыстырмалы тұрақтылық пен тұйықтылықпен ерекшеленеді, бірақ өзі қарым-қатынастың түрлі салаларына, басқа стильдерге және сөйлесу тіліне белсенді түрде енеді. Уақыт өте келе ресми-іскерлік стиль кейбір өзгерістерге ұшырап жатыр, дегенмен оның ерекше лексикасы, морфологиясы, синтаксистік айналымдары – жалпы консервативті сипат береді.      
    Бұдан бөлек, ресми-іскерлік стиль - құқықтық және әкімшілік-қоғамдық қызмет саласына қызмет көрсететін стиль. Ресми-іскерлік стильдің жалпы экстралингвистикалық және тілдік ерекшеліктеріне мыналар жатады:

    2. мазмұндаманың стандарттылығы;
    3. мәтіннің қысқаша мазмұны;      
    4. тілдік формулаларды пайдалану;      
    5. терминдерді пайдалану;  
    6. лексикалық және графикалық қысқартуларды қолдану;       
             Қорытындылай келе, ресми-іскерлік стильдің мәтіні - бұл иесіздендірілген ресми ақпарат алмасуды көздейтін іскерлік, құқықтық және өзге орталардағы коммуникацияның негізгі құралы.
